Rick Fox Cut from Dancing with the Stars
Rick Fox and his partner Cheryl Burke were eliminated from Dancing with the Stars last night, or as I prefer to think of it, the Dark Souls of Los Angeles smote the three-time champion Laker for performing on a nationally televised dance competition while wearing a Celtic Green suit – and doing so without a shred of irony.
It was a surprising elimination for Fox who had received his highest scores for his Quick Step performance of ‘Hey Pachuco,’ combined with the impression that Kurt Warner, Bristol Palin and Jennifer Grey were particularly vulnerable after Monday night’s performances.
Well, surprising to him, maybe.
I know this is going to make me sound like a nutty sports guy, but come…on. Look at this suit! Len Goodman nearly called him “Shamrock Fox” before Carrie Ann beat him to the punch by calling him the “Jolly Green Giant.”
He’s a fraking Laker for crying out loud!
Fox departures a week before the quarter-finals, and leaves five couples in Brandy & Maksim Chmerkovskiy (my pick for the season championship), Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas, Jennifer Grey & Derek Hough, Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer and Kurt Warner & Anna Trebunskaya.

I hadn’t thought about the Celtic green connection, though it was a bit much. More than the yellow? It’s unclear.
I feel like every week I’m just waiting for Bristol to go home! Great recap. I just posted mine as well.

Thanks! Yeah, to be honest, I’ve been surprised that Bristol has lasted as long as she has. I’ve long felt like she’s the Kelly Osbourne of this season – a feeling which was validated with all the ‘Bristol is the new Kelly’ silliness from Monday night.
