Wesley Matthews to start for Brandon Roy

Wesley Matthew, the former Jazz starter, who joined the team in 2009 as an undrafted rookie, will be starting tonight in place of Brandon Roy, who is battling a sore left knee. It’ll be interesting to see what Matthews can do tonight. He’s scored double digits in points every time he’s played more than 24 minutes, along with a healthy combination of rebounds and assists.

The Fail Blazers face Memphis tonight, which means that Matthews will likely face up with Rudy Gay.

Update: Matthews played exceptionally well, scoring 30 points, collecting 3 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists in a 100-99 win over the Grizzles.
