Must See TV: Jordan Rides the Bus
If you haven’t been following the 30 for 30 series on ESPN, I would highly recommended checking it out. The basic idea is that ESPN asked a group of established filmmakers to make a documentary about an important sports story from each of the 30 years that ESPN has been on the air.
There’s been some really powerful films made a wealth of basketball topics including Len Bias, Reggie Miller vs. the New York Knicks and Allen Iverson.
A co-worker just sent this along.
Jordan Rides the Bus is a film by Ron Shelton, the writer/director of Bull Durham about Michael Jordan leaving basketball to go play baseball.
It’ll air on ESPN on Tuesday, Aug. 24th at 8pm, and I will be watching.
