LeBron to start campaign in Orlando?

We’re still a day away from the release of the 2010-2011 NBA season, but it looks like some leaks are starting to break.

According to the Sporting News, the Miami Heat will open their season on October 28th in Orlando. This will be the first game in the new, snazzy $480 million dollar Amway Center.

Also, as expected, said opening night game is said to be broadcast on TNT.

What’s interesting about this is that I *thought* the defending champions traditionally open the season at home for the sake of the ring ceremony, but I could be wrong about this.

Maybe Heat/Magic is the opening game of the TNT doubleheader, with the Lakers playing some other squad as the second act.

P.S. Is anyone else hoping for a Jazz/Bulls game on Thanksgiving or Christmas?
